Congratulations! I hope you are really well and excited about becoming first time parents. This is such a tender and special time for you both and I understand how precious this first time is for you. This particular Antenatal Class & After Birth Home Support offers all the information and nurturing you deserve as first timers. It’s all so new to you.
My name is Helen, your midwife and course presenter.
Pregnancy and birth is a natural and wondrous time. This course discusses and demonstrates how nature itself gives you a helping hand and how to benefit from that, progressing to the more medical management of labour and birth, encouraging a positive, gentle and safe birthing experience.
This class offers professional information in a relaxed and enjoyable environment, with plenty of time for your particular questions, and a focus on interactive and practical demonstrations. Your class will teach you everything you need to know in 1 day.

Your Midwife - Helen
With over 20 years experience in nursing and midwifery in Ireland and abroad, I have cared for thousands of pregnant women and their babies.
I am dedicated to providing you with the 'Gold Standard' in pregnancy, birth, and infant care education.
My midwifery training was completed at the world famous Rotunda Hospital in Dublin. I am fully registered as a nurse and midwife with the Nursing & Midwifery Board Ireland (NMBI).
The cutting edge research that I lead on 'Women's Health in Pregnancy' for the HSE and a Dublin Maternity Teaching Hospital is published worldwide in the most respected medical journals, including the BMJ (British Medical Journal).
I am also the 'Pregnancy & Birth Expert' contributor to many pregnancy and parenting magazines.
I'm a mother of three, two boys and a girl.
When to do your class ?
I recommend attending between 28 to 36 weeks of your pregnancy.
